Recommendation needed - flat-bar brake levers

Hi all,
I'm hoping to build up a commuter bike with flat bars later in the year using various spare bits lying about. I have a pair of Campag Xenon dual-pivot calipers and was wondering if anyone could suggest suitable brake levers (price is important as I'm working to a v. tight budget!). I'm using down-tube gear levers as they were already to hand, so looking for brake-only levers rather than combined MTB brake/shift units.
Thanks in advance for answers,
David

any levers that were originally for cantilever brakes will work. Not V brake levers though as they pull too much cable and won't provide enough power for your DPs.
Dia Compe SS7 are nice if you can find some
Shimano produe some new ones, but they're pretty basic.

another option is to run some of the Avid SD levers (eg SD5) with adjustable modulation and run them on their softest setting. They'll just have enough power to work DPs. I've done this in the past and it's been okay. Nice levers too.
