I just bought an old Olmo frame on eBay to build as a winter trainer.

Silly question really...

It will be an Italian thread on the BB right?

    Almost certainly. Some Italian manufacturers have realised they are the anomaly and changed but very few.

    To make certain measure the BB shell.
    English are 68mm
    Italian 70mm
