  • Funny, but I was thinking of starting a similar thread this morning.
Didn't use the bike on tuesday and wednesday (absolute deluge here). Great ride in this morning cold and crisp but just made me feel good. then on top of that the security folk were all big cheerie greetings and smiles. They think I'm a little eccentric cos I ride a bike, but it obviously brightens their day, so that's good.

Frost on the ground, and it's still only October.

    commute racing.
  • Just being out on the bike is enough for me. The fact that I get to do it twice a day as part of my working day is magic.

I had to use the car on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning this week and I was gutted when I was driving past cyclists on their way into work!

There's a long hard winter ahead, but I've got Spring and Summer to look forward to after that. BRING IT ON!!

People at work saying "bloody hell its cold, I can't believe you cycle in this weather", when all they have had to do is walk 10m from their car to the office

Cycling the same journey as a mate drives, and doing the whole 15 miles faster than him for most of the week, sometimes as much as an hour and a half faster. Except Sunday mornings when there's very little traffic, then he beats me by 15 minutes.
