positive air first, negative air second. then play with the settings.

    as per the manual.

ps start of with lower settings untill it is running plush.

    Don't use text talk

I set the positive and negative so they are the same, then wind on the rebound. You need enough rebound to stop the forks topping out, but not so much they pack down over successive bumps.

have you looked at the manual? or the left leg of the fork? the recomended presures are there. just dont use quite as much as they say to start with.

  • I've got Reba SL forks. I weigh 17 stone, and run mine at 135ish +ve, and a bit less -ve.

Positive air lets you set the right amount of sag etc for your weight. Negative air controls how much force is required to make the fork react. Less negative air = more rigid fork IIRC.

I wouldn't worry too much about exact pressures at first. Just take a pump out with you and play with them until they feel good. Take into account that the recommended settings on the fork leg are way too high.
  • being really stupid here... can you use a normal pump to adjust them? I got mine fitted here in Beijing, they weighed me first, but i've lost 10kgs since then, and i think i need to adjustment. Ihave to lean on them very hard to get them to move.... should that be right?

a normal pump will not work as you will not beable to get the pressure required.

get a fork pump with a gauge that reads the presure range you need.
