Torque Wrench?

Is it absolutely neccessary to use a torque wrench when tightening the front bolt axle to attach the front wheel onto the forks. There is a torque setting mentioned in the marzocchi manual, but can I just do it up snug as I do not have a torque wrench?

Cheers

well on some forks the drop outs have snapped through over tightening.
if you know what 5 or 6Nm feels like then you will be fine. basically hold the allen key by the small end.

all bolds will have a torque max load and should not be adjusted over or you rish snapping them.
