chain stay protector

If I would wrap normal black duck tape or black electricians tape around my chainstay would that work?

    No, the chain will cut through it pretty quickly. How about an old inner tube.

    i use an old innertube, i had a lizardskins on and after about 7 downhill races it was in bits :o . just wrap an innertuba around it and cable tie it!

    would that be better wraping a inner tube round than buying a lizaerd skin one you mean ?

    yeh much better and cheaper if you have one, also it will last much longer :!:
