Right then i'm in the market for some new tyres to replace the originals that came on my rock hopper, one of the places i will be riding is Kilvey hill in swansea which does have quite stoney/rocky aswell as some soft muddy areas and some nice down hill sections but to get there i need to ride about a mile by road and another place which i will be visiting quite regular is Afan so am looking for a good alround tyre.
This is a list of what i have been looking at Panaracer xc pros, continental verticals or high rollers but with two of my choices i have been told they might not be anygood.
The XC Pros i have been told that the blocks have been known to come away from the canvas and wear quite quickly on road and that the high rollers 2.35 will rub the frame as they are so wide. does anyone have anything to back this up or any advice on my choices.

With regard to the highrollers rubbing on the frame, it depends what width tyre your frame can take.
I've got a set of verticals on my Inbred, they are ok in the dry and when its slightly damp, but useless when its wet and muddy. I'll most likely be putting on some Panaracer Fire XC's for the winter.Intense Socom

I'm loving my dual compound 2.35 kenda nevegals. They never get clogged with mud and seem to be able to grip on any surface. I did run 2.25 panaracer cinders for a while but they're just not as good in my opinion.0
