Nokia N95 and Sports Tracker software

I've just ordered a Nokia N95 and I've been reading about the Sports Tracker programme on the internet. It looks quite promising.
Has anyone had any success getting this to work whilst cycling? Will the N95 still pick up a signal if I stick it in my jersey pocket?
Any comments appreciated.

I've used it, and yes it works fairly well. The GPS isn't super accurate (for example it keeps recording my highest altitude on different parts of my route ), but it's good enough to get some interesting information.
I'd recommend exporting the route data into google earth. Particularly useful for those training routes that you know in your head, but can't quite work out on a map!
I found I needed the latest firmware (12) for GPS to be usable. Before I reflashed it to version 12 I couldn't get GPS to pick up my location at all.0 -
Sounds good. It is the best phone I can get on my tax free phone contract through my work. I found out about the sports tracker programme after I ordered the phone. What a bonus!
My wife has a pocket pc with memory map installed and I've taken that out on rides before, it looks good when I upload the details on my pc but it's heavy. Uploading to google earth would be just as good as memory map.
Do you if there is a programme that allows you to upload route data?

I've found a programme called ViewRanger. It looks exactly like memory map for the pocket pc. What I was asking was can you create a route, transfer it to your phone and then have it tell you where to go. It seems that this viewranger can do that._______________________

Ah I see. It comes with a programme called Maps which will do point-to-point route finding for you like a sat nav system. You can't pre-programme in a specific route with that.
I'll have to have a look at ViewRanger.0 -
With ViewRanger you can import a gpx file that has come from a programme such as memory map. It will then tell you when you coming a waypoint and tell you what direction to go. The only problem is that you need to see the phone. It looks a bit big to sit on your handle bars, or has anyone had any success doing that?
Thanks for your comments Graeme_______________________
