Applying Make-up while Driving!

I see lots of this every morning (usually women, it seems).
Are they mad?
Also using the steering wheel as a document holder is quite common.
Even if they crash, they'd be looking good, and fully up to speed for their meetings when they get to the office.

I tend to get people checking their texts/texting back (to be fair, they are usually in stationary traffic). Seen a good few people on mobiles whilst in motion too.0

I'm mainly thinking of stop-go traffic, rather than totally stationary - lots of potential for minor collisions, or more serious accients involving non-car users.
I'd imagine(!) that applying lipstick requires quite close attention and precision, which should really be used to control the tonne or two of metal which they (we) are supposed to be controlling, albeit at very low speed.
I do drive a car myself, don't wish to appear holier than anyone else, but we do need to be sensible.0 -
What these ladies need is a dashboard-mounted, double barrelled make up gun....

Hum...... saw someone reading the paper on the main road out of Portsmouth this morning whilst doing about 50. Seemed a bit odd to me.....0

Should we not be reporting these incidents to the Police?
They won't take much attention to start with, but if they get a deluge, they won't be able to ignore it.0 -
the police dont give a flying **** unless its right in front of them or they are in the middle of an publicity 'initiative'.0

Cycling in this morning I overtook a woman doing about 20mph eating her breakfast. She was weaving all over the shop when I approached so gave a wide berth. Surprise, surprise she looked really shocked to see me pass. She can't have had any idea what was going on around her, but thats ok, the food was tasty... :roll:0

It was a while ago now, but I once saw somebody driving an SUV through the morning traffic holding the top of the steering wheel with the same hand that was also balancing a bowl of cereal. He was eating using the spoon in his other hand. Quite staggering really.0 -

I reckon that was what the woman who wiped me out was doing. And the police response? "There's no point in pressing charges as she says she's leaving the country soon."!
An excuse worth remembering if you ever fancy committing a crime.

I was trying to overtake a woman this morning who was weaving all over the place, as I got level with her I noticed she had her mobile hidden underneath her hair! probably thought she was being really clever!!0
