Hope LED - Universal Mount

Can anyone shed some light (sorry) on how they rate the universal handlebar mount set up as opposed to the stem mount. To me the stem mount looks rock solid but at the moment Merlin are doing the universal kit for £135 inc a helmet mount which is a total bargain.

I've used the handlebar mount (mate's LED light) and liked it so much I have an Epic version on the way from wiggle. As long as the mount is securely 'done-up' then its fine. The hex bolt can be quite stiff so you may think its tight enough when half-way through your ride you'll hit a bump and the light nose-dive.

Just make sure its done up tight enough and everything will be peachy.

I think I should have done the same thing with regards to the LBS. I oredered mine from Wiggle and they are having stock issues. Apparently Hope have a 2 week backlog on their lights so Wiggles usual 4-5 day order to delivery time has been somewhat lengthened!

Yeah, i'm on a bit of a one-man crusade to support my LBS as it pays off when things go wrong rather than shelling out for returns postage etc
