Crank Fixing Bolts ?

Has anyone ever tried to remove a Shimano Dura-Ace fixing bolt with a shot head ? It's a metal one, not alloy. I've got the drill all ready but my hands are shaking too much to let me drill it out - there must be a safer way !!! The axle is gone too, but I'd like to save the crank if I can. :?

Drill a hole about 1/4" deep and tap a slightly oversize Torx bit into it. You should get enough leverage with a wrench to unscrew the bolt.
