hi all.
i have had my tektro I0 mechanical disc brakes for about 4 months now, and have been plagued with the same problem with the front one; a grinding/creaking noise when i ride, at any speed. it gets really loud when i lean into corners.
when i apply the brake it stops, but i cant see anything wrong with the disc or caliper. the newish pads are about one month old, and are fully worn in.
its been into halfords 3 times. they told me it was fork flex. the noise cannot be caused by fork flex, as i have recently fitted toras, which are much stiffer than my old rs darts...and the noise persists!
please help because the noise is driving me insane!
thanks all

Is your caliper alligned correctly with the disc?
Have you checked the pad to disc clearance using feeler gauges at a number of points during the rotation of the disc through teh caliper?
Is the disc flat and true?0 -
Check the hub bearings too. They do take very precise set up.0
