probably 150mm max. i would recommend rockshox pikes 545..
how much is your budget?0 -
Yeah like a 140-150mm would be the biggest. The pikes are great but aren't really budget friendly.0

I seem to remember the Reigns initially being launched as All Mountain rigs with 145mm Nixons but then the next incarnation came with Fox 36s.
Only once the Reign Xs were relaesed were the Reigns lightened up to try to fill the void of trail bike and 140mm 32mm forks fitted. So logically, they should be OK with 160mm.
Warning, the above advice is genuine, but from now on it's a blatant attempt to sell a fork. I have a 2006 Marz AM1 which is 130-150mm with a lock-down for £180 delivered.

splasher can you tell me a little more about the fork? condition, does it have lock out etc..
i could be interested if i sell my pikes as i really need money. would you accept £150 delivered if i can get rid of my pikes ?0 -
The fork is in excellent condition with a scuff down the decal of one leg and a couple of cable rub marks (can provide pics if you're serious).
The fork has just about every feature you can think of. Spring rate is taken care of by a small coil srping in one leg and a low pressure air spring in the other. In this way the fork has good small bump sensitivity (like a coil fork) but is as tuneable as an air fork. Rebound damping is adusted on the bottom of one leg, like Rockshox. Compression damping has 5 pre-sets ranging from downhill (almost none) through All Mountain to Fully Locked Out.
The fork is travel adjustable from 130-150mm but you don't use the facility on the fly, you set it where you like it and leave it because when you want to drop the front to climb, you use the ETA. The is ETA on the top left leg which locks the fork down. You select the ETA and then bounce the fork down and it stays down so you can do it without stopping and in seconds, unlike a wind-down. Once at the top, you flick the ETA off and the fork rises back to wherever you have the travel set.
The fork is only 12 months old and was almost £500 at full price. I'm looking to clear £160 and I assumed £20 postage which is probably high. Could probably do it for £170 posted. Or would swap it for a 1 year old Reba if that helps (for my lads Shred 2-4)."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0 -
