Looking to get a waterproof bag as I usually carry a rucksacik but isn't waterproof and really would like a waterproof one. Can't be bothered with lining it with bin bags and all that. So looling through the forums I see this bag being recommended however I just need to be sure that will be big enough for what I usually carry in my rucksack.
Room for:
Bath Towel, Gill Packable Rain Jacket, 1no. pair of trainers, t-shirt, shorts, ankle socks, sweat towel, shirt, trousers, boxer shorts, socks, hair gel (though not much hair left to need too much), deodrant, wallet, mobile phone, 3 sets of keys, bicycle lock (no room on bike to fit witout it getting in the road - have tried every which way), two spare tubes, puncture repair kit, multitool, ipod nano and tyre levers. Don't carry at present but will need to if I am going to commute a bit more through the autumn and winter - a couple of set of rechargeable batteries.
Carry other stuff but really not that essential so could clear it out for just the minimum.
Think I have covered everything. Can I get all that into this bag. If not any recommendations.
Thanks

Perhaps I would be better with panniers but I never really have thoght of them as I have always used my rucksack which is an arogs nike special (not really). Is that what most people would consider too much for a rucksack? It has never really caused me any probs so have never considered changing. Is this really too much to expect. My non waterproof has worked fine for years during months where the li9ght was plentiful. Not looking anything other than waterproofing.0 -
Hi
I use a Velocity every day.
I carry:
Jeans and Tshirt to change into
Tools/spare tube
Waterproof (this packs down very small)
Butties/choc bars
Phone/glasses case/general bits.
There is still quite a bit of room left over (for stealing toilet rolls etc).
Not quite sure why you need to take TWO towels though? The A6 Hazel Grove - "Always the worst part of any ride".0 -

Thanks,
I think I could get away with as I could wear the trainers for cycling in and use overshoes if its wet and dry them out at work if necessary - have done this in the past and it works well. Also could ditch the extra t-shirt as I could my cycling jersey in the gym. As for the towels. One for after the shower and the other for the gym - its only smalll. Don't want to carry a big towel round the gym. Looks a bit naff.
Thanks for giving me an idea fo what I could get into this bag.
I take this bag is comfotable to in use?0
