there is an ebay shop selling hayes nine dh or xc brakes for £120, i got some a while ago good brakes.. i blew the pistons on them and i got another pair on my norco a-line and blew the pistons on that again! they will be ok for dj, i used them for downhill and really did hammer them and my bike so i suppose blowing the pistons was going to happen sometime and they did last a year!

Here's a bargain: Shimano Deore M525 hydraulic calipers/levers, 160mm IS mount rotors - £80 the pair from CRC!

Note that they're that cheap because they're in US set-up (front brake with left lever, rear brtake with right lever) so you'll need to swap the levers but that's an easy job (an 8mm spanner and a careful/firm pull on the hose, if my memory serves me correctly).

They're good calipers for XC, work great with sintered pads. They should do your "light dh" if it ,and you, really are light! :-)
