Gears keep changing when rear shock moves

Hi can anyone help.

I've recently changed over to a full suspension frame and am having problems with the rear mech moving when the rear shock moves, which is making the chain jump between the gears.

Any ideas ??

    Sounds like a cable routing issue.

    What frame?

    what kind of suspension set up do you have? even if you could tell us what bike you have that would do.

    Hi sorry its a marin mount vision frame with a fox float shock.

    Just looking at it again the gear cable is changing tension so i think i might have cut the outer a bit short on the middle section and its moving.

    Changed the outer for a longer one and its now running perfectly.

    I had the same prob on my Heckler a while ago when I chopped one of the outer sections just a little bit short just behind the swingarm.

    Glad you got it sorted, those type of probs can drive you daft
