I have an 08 stumpjumper comp with the fox triad rear shock fitted as standard.

I am wondering whther my shock lever is ok. It has three positions Propedal, open and locked. My question is this there is a definate click and a clear location in the bottom two positions (i.e open and propedal) but when I turn the lever to the upper postion (locked) there is no definate postion for the lever, it is free to move around in the upper zone is this ok ?

pics of the positions as i think you have it in the wrong position.

    you have read the manual?

this the rp3 and it has only three positions. 2 clicks when rotated anti clockwise from the position show. it will still move in the other part of the arc but does nothing.

Yep mine too, and the two I checked out in two seperate shops, so I think it's safe to say it's supposed to do that.

If you imagine the triad lever as a clockfingers, when looking at it in the bike the lever is totally slack and free between the 1'o clock and 10 o clock positions. I assume everyone elses is the same. I guess this is ok, but it does seem odd on such a quality unit.

Its normal and nothing to do with quality.
