if the caliper is aligned correctly and the disc is not moving then a bleed could help. But check the caliper alignment first and the lever reach screw.

  • when bleeding is it better 2 have the lever reach screw fully in or out 2 make it so it has harly any move ment ??

does not really matter. as it is just a lever adjust. it should not move the internals.

nope has nothing to do with power. just how big your hands are.

I've found it does make a difference to the bleed if you open the reservoir and use the lever to push fluid through from the top.
If the span adjuster is wound fully out, when you pull the lever back to the bar, the fluid goes through fine. But something blocks the hole from the reservoir through to the MC bore, and stops fluid going down from the reservoir into the system when you release the lever. Don't ask me why, or how this occurs, but the only cure i've found for it, is to adjust the lever closer to the bar, then resume the bleed.
Not a problem if you use the Hope pressure bleed kit though.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

interesting. is this with the more recent (not that i belive they have changed anything) brake set ups? as my usage is all Pre mono with the mini lever.

I've only seen it on pre 07 Mono brakes with the sport/mini lever. But on several occasions.
I only found that adjusting the span worked after trying everything else and getting frustrated enough to try it on the first occasion.
Since then, I've done it as a first course of action when it occurs, and it's never failed so far. "Go figure?"

I know in theory, it should make no difference at all !
I'm currently dissecting an old damaged lever body to try to get to the bottom of it.
