I have a cut in one of my tyres (Michelin pro race). Its about 1cm long and in the center but it does not go all the way through (i did not get a puncture from it)

It is pretty new. So does anybody know of a way to patch this up? Or is it just a case of buy a new one?

Thanks

How strange! I am just back from a sponsored ride in france and was cleaning my bike when I noticed a cut exactly the same in my week old michelin pro 2. Right in the middle of the tyre about 1 cm in length. I've already ordered a new pair as there are a few sites that don't have stock but think I'll super glue it. THANKS!!!!!

  • Hi there.

I've successfully used superglue on off-road tyres that get inflated to 60psi or so. For a good road tyre like the pro race I'd typically run 110-120psi and the superglue never holds.

Or maybe I just need better glue? What do you guys recomend (not for sniffing)?

    Cheers, Andy

ps I'd just save the cut tyre for the turbo.
