Amusing comments when watching old Grand Tours
I was watching the 99 Giro last night and there was a stage where Petacchi was away in a break with Di Luca. At the time he was "not a very fast finisher" heh. And Di Luca looked so so young.
I'm only up to watching the first big mountain stage so I expect some more corkers before long.

It's amazing how cyclists age quickly. Look at Bettini in the 2001 TdF, seems he didn't always look like a 70-year old school caretaker. I believe it's because the huge amountsa of carbs they imbibe dries out the skin faster.0

You will find stage 15 amusing. I sometimes ponder whether the stage winner actually set it up as a piece of sheer exhibitionism.0

Does the same apply to Wiggins and his pursuit golds?Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Iain, I thought we'd been over this one already - Bradley Wiggins is British, under 30 and (now) riding for T-Mobile. So he can't possibly be cheating in any way!! Now, if he was Spanish.............0
