Replica pedals

Hi all,

I've been using MTB SPDs on my road bike, but I've decided to get some dedicated road style ones. I was gonna get the Shimano Gerolsteiner replica 540's to match my Allez Elite - has anyone used these, or similar, before? They seem cheaper than non-branded 540's, which makes me wonder bout them. Also, if they're coloured, can the coating affect wear or engagement at all?

Thanks all,

They are just the same to use as the standard 540s. The colour has no affect but will scuff in time. The pedals are OK in use and are very similar to Looks but the cleat is easier to walk in.The plastic pad that the cleat sits on will wear after some use. It can be replaced. You should be able to get them for £25/£30 which is good value.
