On another forum (The Student Room) I was reading a post from somebody who fell off their bike whilst commuting, and smacked their head on a lamp post and passed out. They've now put the quesation to the forum 'should they go to A&E?' What an utter fecking mong!

Does some peoples stupidity amaze you at times? It seems to be happening more and more just lately, generally everywhere, but especially with regards to some (I stress some) members of TSR.

grrrr!!!

Is it possible he could actually still be suffering some sort of head injury from the accident and should be helped to seek medical assistance?

Quite. One of my Travel & Tourism students, having decided that "Cornwall" is a seaside resort town, has marked it on an outline map in the location actually occupied by Warrington, then gone on to label the Isle of Man "Skye" and write "Isle of Man" near Peterbrough, then mark the Cairnryan - Larne ferry passing through Warwickshire.

I think I could manage that little piece of insignificance for you ;-)

Anyway, over 70% of all US citizens recently surveyed can't locate Iraq on a world map.

    It may be stupid, but.......................

We are being encouraged to use GPs less and less.

NHS direct and the NHS Helplines are actualypromoting he use of the web, take this as an example:
    http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/help/

The advice now is to contact NHS Direct, a pharmacist, followed by a "drop in centre" of it is urgent casualty, almost cutting the GP out of the loop.

But, back to maps. There was an even funnier (or should I say worrying) one where another camera crew took a world map out on to the streets of the US. They asked who they should attack next.

This time they had labelled Australia as Iraq, Korea etc!

The middle section is most disturbing.... Poor Australia it's gonna get blitzed by accident!!

I really loved the guy who hadn't realised Korea was that big!

In the meanwhile God Bless Miss South Carolina!

No no, Im sure you're misinformed. According to 'On The Beach' when the nuclear holocaust happens the survivors will all try to make their way to Melbourne, since the radiation will leach slowly south...

[only problem is most Melburnians have pointy heads already].

is that because the US are trying their best to wipe it off the map
