This race sounds like it could be fabulous. I remember seeing something about the sportif but it's nice to see some big names lining up for this.

    I think that, like the sportive on Sunday, the pros should be limited to technology available more than 30 years ago - wooly jerseys, down tube levers, 6 speed blocks and basic steroids and amphetamines. No STI and HGH, please!

    It looks a bit mad really - 60 kms on strada bianchi including some uphill sections. I bet the riders are hoping that it stays dry!

    As far as I can make out the riders seem to be well up for it.
