Has anyone ever came back to their bike to find the lock superglued?
or another lock locking your bike up?

It's a trick used by thieves.

You now cannot release your bike, and have to go away and get tools or help.

In the meanwhile the thief knows that you will be away for a while, hence has time to hack the superglued lock or your original.

If anyone asks it is a case of replying that "Some barsteward has superglued my lock and I have had to cut it off"

    Absolutely true and provable.

You can buy solvent for superglue, I'm not sure how well it'll work on a lock and it may depend on the type of lock and how far it's got in. However, if the lock looks knackered and getting the tools out seems the only option it may be worth considering.

DO report it to the Police as an attempted theft though!

Use a disposable lighter to melt/burn the glue. Watch out that you don't burn your fingers or breather in too much of the fumes. It does the trick but the lock may never be the same again but you've still got your bike in one piece.
