  • ah OK, well it has been £299 in the 2 stores local to me since October 2nd. I only know because I have been sniffing 'round looking at the Fury. Maybe your local store forgot to change their prices?

I'm not sure about the spec of the Kraken, but i own a fire moutnain and it's not got the best specification for what you pay for it. The forks are undampened rock shox dar 1's, real bargain forks, only worth about £30-40 i think although the carreras are made by suntour they have both lockout and damping and kona have a bit of a repuation for underspecking their bikes. On the other hand though the frame is top draw and would be a good platform to build on (in my opinion) for the future.

It's up to you really, and their isn't that much difference between the two, depends on what you want really.
