Budget? Riding type?
Have a read of the what bike thread in the general section. Put a shortlist together, ask more questions if you need to, then go and test them.0 -
what do u mean by ridin type and the budet is pretty low cos ive gotta get the money myself0
-
Riding type? ie dirt jumping, DH, trials, XC, ior just general all round type? Different bikes for different purposes. Low as possible - well, too low will not get you anything worth having. 200 is the minimum really, 300 is where the fun starts.0
-
ye well i was plannin about 300 and this may sound really wierd and stupid but i dont no wot the types are lol im a bit dense and i was wonderin wud it be cheaper to build my own bike?? cos i found a couple of cheap frames etc of ebay?0

Where do you want to ride your bike? Just around local trails and paths?
There are lots of stickied topics you may find interesting to read, as well as a bit of background reading from other places to give you an idea of what is invloved with a bike, different types etc.
Much safer and cost effective to buy a new bike and NOT of the net if you are a beginner. Go to a good shop and test a few out. They will make sure its the right size, build it for you, help you look after it and give you a free service.
Mongoose Tyax Elite is a well specced, general trail and XC bike for less than 300 quid.0 -
well i wanna ride it like in woodlands etc and like do races in woodlands if u no wot i mean kinda thing0
-
OK, you need a general trail/xc bike. Have a read of the What Bike thread in the general section of this forum.0

Here is one topic:

Have a browse of recent ones, loads of info.0 -
please use English NOT TXT.
have a read of the rules."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

LoL,
I thought people these days only Spoke habitual words such as "Like" and "innit"... To see it in written too has just depressed me. Whats the world coming to like?0
