just noticed this in ctc mag it covers accident,, theft, vandalism, and irreparable breakdown(not punctures) .can't decide if it's worth it, a bit expensive at £30 a year and i suppose i've never really had the need for it in a few years of cycling. and it may not be all it's cracked up to be if you did have call on it (sorry sir that's not covered). but then it could be handy with a problem 30 miles from home or miles away on tour. and then i guess the benefit of insurance is knowing it's there and not using it is a bonus. anyone taken ot out or used it?

My stock answer to these questions is check what you already have. Most people who would even contemplate this kind of insurance are those which want to cover every eventuality. This tends to mean they have other insurances such as house contents, House contents usually has a host of extras thrown in such as 2 million pounds worth of third party liability cover, this will cover you if you have an accident, you will also be covered if you lead a ride (not for profit) and some one tries to sue you.
It may be a good deal but just check that you are not duplicating what you already have.0
