I have some Campagnolo Neutrons and as many people are aware are a right bitch to get tyres on and off. I am going to be putting on some super light inner tubes soon for the hill climbs and though it would be a good idea to put on some thin rim tape to help get them on with out damage. I currently have the plastic strip that came with the wheels so would think some improvent could be made.

So what is the thinest rim tape that works?

None. Forget rim tape altogether by using "Tufo" tubular clinchers.

I just bought some Pedros cloth rim tape. I wanted cloth because I have a plastic one melt after a Pyrennean descent! I normally get Velox but wanted something thinner - the pedros is a bit thinner, seems okay. It is self adhesive but wasn't very sticky and it was slightly tricky getting it to stick first time. No the wheel has been used it is securely stuck down.
