Nexus hub brake/gears question

Hi
The rear wheel on my nexus 8 hub geared and braked bike doesn't seem to free wheel very readily ( i.e. pick up back wheel - spin by hand and it'll only spin a couple of revolutions before coming to a halt) in comparison to any derrailier system I have ever run.
Is this a common feature of hub gears - i.e. the reduced efficiency?
Cheers

Not a problem here. Are you sure nothing else is catching?0

A couple of revolutions doesn't sound right - I notice that mine is definitely more 'sluggish' than normal, but get about 15-20 revolutions before it stops.
Have you done any maintenance on it recently? I've noticed that several things can cause it to stick - tightening the rollerbrake bolt can tighten the cone on that side (moving the reaction arm to reposition it without loosening the bolt first can also cause this). The cone on the roller brake side can also be over tightened on its own. The third thing is if your drive side seal has been leaking - the bearing in here can get gunged up PDQ, but its easy enough to check by taking off the sprocket and popping the dust cap off.
How long have you been using the bike for? You might want to check the roller brake isn't adjusted too tight by totally disconnecting it and trying your spin test again, and check there is still grease in the roller brake if you have washed the bike with a power hose... Good luck!0
