Puncture proof Slime Tyre Liners or Armour!

I have just suffered my third punture in two days!
So I am thinking drastic action may be needed.
Has anyone used Slime Tyre Liners? How effective are they?
My other option is to replace my Conti Town and Country 26 x 1.9 for something with armour, but I am a little reluctant to replace them as they are only on 1000 mile mark and I had hoped to get more wear out of them yet.
I have looked at the Specialized Nimbus Armadillo which I have found as a pair with inner tubes for a shade under £40.
I am still relatively new to the cummute, only been going since April and I am learning as I go.
Any advice would be great!

Hello
I use slime tyre liners (approx 4000 miles now) and specialized armadillo cross road tyres
To be honest tyre pressure is the main thing to look out for even when I've ran the above slightly soft I've managed to puncture.
Getting as much air into the tyre is the key.
I did use the tyre liners with some cheap Tioga Komodo tyres again with max tyre pressure, and only had 1 puncture in about 1800 miles.
I tend to find that tyre liners do help, especially if your running slicks
