Anyone else had one of those days ?????

1 - 10minutes into the commute home I get a flat on the rear, no problems I'll pull over and change the tube.

2 - New tube fitted and several thorns removed from tyre I start to pump, and pump, and pump some more, great my pump is chuffed. Quick phone call to the wife and after a 30minute wait I'm in the car on the way home.

3 - Once home I get the bike out of car, put the bike down and snap, the rear derallieur hanger snaps clean off !!

I suppose I should count myself lucky that I've had over 1000 trouble free miles before this.

Rant over......

Must have been the day for itI I had a similar experience today.

Puncture, spectacular and painfull dismount (I don't like to call them crashes....) no spare tube as used that already so fixed the puncture by the road. Then couldn't reinflate tyre, hadn't used mini pump for a while so I though it had bit the dust. Walked the half a mile to nearest garage, spent 50p to try and inflate tyre, nothing doing. Couldn't get hold of anyone to give me a lift. As I was halfway through a 9 mile commute decided to try and walk home. Not pleasant, getting V cold and painfull. Eventually get hold of my father who turns up to give me a lift. I scratch the new Volvo getting the bike in the back.

The woe doesn't end there, have grief from work for a no-show. Get someone to pickup new tube, which pops during pumping up. Decide to check presure on other tyre and whole valve comes off - don't ask how it happened as I have no idea. When checking the front wheel I find that the disc rotar somehow got warped during the 'dismount'

Net Result - 2 binned Innertubes, family strife due to scratched car. Work strife due to rest of week off sick. And an attempt at truing break disc to look forward to when the back and arms are not so painfull
