Sticky brake cable

I cleaned my bike the last time I rode it with Mucoff gear adn I thought I'd got everywhere covered with the de-watering spray.
Next time out the rear brake (Tektro Aquila)feels very stiff, I'm certain it's the cable thats binding in it's housing at some point along it's length.
Any ideas how it would be best to sort this issue.
It's not the caliper thats stiff as I cna move this easily with my fingers and the same applies to the lever, so it's defo a cable issues somewhere.
Any ideas would be great

probably best to replace the cable, but you could try completety removing it, blasting through the outers with GT85, cleaning and drying the inner cable, then put back on.0

Thanks,
Is there anyway to stop this mappening again in the future other than being mega careful with the dewatering stuff?0 -
U can buy sealed brake cables that would completely eliminate the problem altogether for around £15-20.0
