Hi m8
just fitted a dirty dog to the down tube on mine . I tried to fit a crud catcher but it fouled the gear cables. The dirty dog one fits ok but needed the supplied spacer fitting in the top hole and when I change gear and the cables "flick" you can hear a slight slap against the mudgaurd but it doesn't seem to effect the gear change.
hope this is of use

Have a look at one of the new Cycra front guards.Looks like the Crudcatcher, but has grooves to accomadate cables.
Alternatively how about an SKS Shockboard,or Topeak Defender, moto x style one?
