Profile fast forward seat post

Over the winter I am tuning my road bike for TTs - I have proper aero bars, and will be adding aero forks. I will reward myself with a 'proper' T bike when I feel I deserve one, but that'll be a few years yet.

My question: Is the Profile fast forward seat post any good? Does it do what it says on the tin, is it worth the money and are there alternatives?

I have one, and find it does help open the hips up when on the tri bars. It's a good alternative to spending huge sums on a TT bike, if you only use it for TT's or Tri's a few times a year.

Don't use your normal saddle though, it will more than likely be uncomfortable, get a tri specific saddle. I got the profile tri saddle to go with the fastforward post.

Yes, it works fine - I use one and it puts me in a decent position on a standard road frame modded for TT use with a deep-drop adjustable stem and base bar/aero bars.

It is a touch expensive, but I haven't seen any alternatives that will do the same job.
