Anyone hear Nemone on BBC Radio 6 Music at about 2.30 today? I switched on to hear her rattling on about fixed gear bikes and how her hubby was obsessed with cycling forums. Thought I was dreaming - cycling and 'fixed' hitting mainstream media.

BBC Radio 6 Music seems to aimed primarily at music snobs - with it's oh so diverse playlist. It's never off in our house. I love it...

That'll be the first time BBC Radio 6 Music has been called mainstream media

Is 3 listeners mainstream media now?

Three listeners? it's gone up... When did this happen?

Yogi, did anyone tell you? Who is this newbie? Maybe it's Nemone's husband...

There's more of us than you might think...

    from the BBC website:

"BBC 6 Music has a reach of 471,000 – up from last year's 354,000 and steady on last quarter's record 477,000" - that's equivalent to the population of Manchester, and then some.

is that 471,000 listeners across all programmes across the whole year?

ie less than 1 listener per minute

You need to end it with [ /b] not just (and omit the space after the bracket

Good to get a bit of daft correspondence going. I too am torn between Cycle Chat and here - it's just not quite the same is it but then I spouse that's progress.

    Well is it? CHRISNOIR

This is progress! It may take a while to get going again but stick with it. And I don't think there's any official legislation against being on two forums at once.

Although judging by peoples passionate 'here or there' stance I may be wrong...

Hmm, after the unwarranted critique of my attempted use of forum code, I've changed my mind. Spen666 can bugger off back where he came from :lol:

Sadly missed the original show !
Nemone is a fantastic athlete - there was a prog about her efforts to get into the GB team - narrowly failed i think.
