I have seen the light
Recently, while flipping through a bike mail order catalog I came across a blurb
about a ceramic bearing bottom bracket. It asked the question " tired of sluggish
spinning cranks?" To be honest I didn't really know that this was a problem.
Upon running this concept a little further through my mind I realized that, yes after 70 or
80 miles, those cranks did begin to feel sluggish. Could this be the cycling "Holy Grail"
for which I have
been searching all these years? Have all those miles and miles of sluggishness, which I, for years,
attributed to my sissy girlie man legs, been the fault of a "stickey" bottom bracket?
In an instant I took the necessary money from my childrens college fund and put in my order. An anxious week went by and then "The Package" was in my sweaty hands.
Upon opening it angels started singing and I knew I had found salvation after all these years. Riding it proved to be trickey at first, as it seemed to have a life of it's own and
was almost to powerful for my legs. After a month or so I had it down and feel that I am now finally ready for the culmination of my lifes dream. To ride in the "Tour De France".
Now it's only a matter of which team I'll choose to be on. Wish me luck. I have truly seen
the light.

But you do get 'the ceramic advantage over the competiion' worth, according to another advert, '30 to 40 metres per kilometre'.
So, one can say with some confidence that you'll get to where you're going sooner than you might otherwise have got there, presuming that where you're going is where you intended to be, though the danger of slipping past it as you weren't ready for it's arrival is increased. Ergo, that being the case these bearings are guaranteed to make you miss where you were going. Therefore, on that basis I for one won't buy them  : Plus - they ain't cheap!_________________________
