Chainrings

Hi,
Got a TruVativ ISOFlow 22/32/44 on my MTB. Usingthe bike for commuting a lot at the moment so it needs to be a bit faster on the road.
I want to buy a bigger middle and top chainring and have a few questions about what is best to do.
1. Can I simply replace the middle and top chainring on the current chainset?
2. If so, what sizes would people suggest? I guess 34 or 36 for the middle and 46 for the top.
3. Presumably I need to move the front derailleur up the downtube a bit if I put a bigger top chainring on? I've got a Deore derailleur on the front.
4. Or! Would it just be cheaper to buy a new front chainset?
Thanks for any help.
Nick.

what is the rear cassette.
as that is another option to what you sugest or could be done in conjuntion with a chain ring change as 44T is a normal up size. just need to check that the mech can take a 46.
you may also have to consider a bigger granny ring as well."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

ok if it is a current one FD-M531 or FD-M530 versions then it is good for a 48T big ring.
but it has a range of 22T so if a granny ring is to be kept it will need as change. dont forget the longer chain"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The casette is a SRAM PG950 11-34.0

nothing doing at the cassette then. i was hoping it might not have been an 11T at the end."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hmm, if I have to change all 3 rings I guess it might be cheaper to replace the whole thing? Any suggestions for what with?
Forgot I would have to change the chain as well...0
