lx to xtr front mech

i have been offered a 06 xtr front mech for cheap and have decided to buy it!
i currebtly have a lx front mech is it just a case of taking the lx mech off and putting xtr on and tuning it up!

    basically yes. as long as it is the correct diameter for your seat tube!

    i currently have a 06 lx front mech so i cant imagine the xtr being much different!
    will it be a big difference drom the lx!

    they can be very different there are at least 4 versions of the LX

    and similar on the XTR it might work but there is a 75% that it will not.

    cheers for that nicklouse, not to ar*ed if it doesnt fit i got it for £7, but hopefully it will, i might just take it to my lbs and get them to fit it!
