Please can I have your recommendations for a GPS system suitable for cyclists (Handlebar Mount Fitting) I would prefer full colour mapping, and the ability to link to a PC for downloading routes. Also needs to suitable for both road and MTB use.

Oh yes! It needs to be waterproof as well!!!

:D

I'm in two minds whether to recommend Satmap or not given the delays in it's release.
I'd rather walk than use Shimano

    Etrex Vista HCx

The HCx models have a better receiver than the Cx ones, so you'll have less of a problem with loss of signal under trees etc.
You can save a bit of cash and gain a bit of battery life by going for a Legend HCx and doing without the altimeter & compass.

The Legend HCx also works stuffed into your back pocket if you just want to track where you've been, rather than use it as a navigation device. I've yet to get the thing to lose a signal!

According to Cycling+ the new Garmin Edge will have SatNav and in colour.

If it were my money I'd be considering the Garmin Edge 605.
