Older Marin TARA sizing query

I am looking at buying an 04/05 Marin Rock Springs (I know its an old model but its a bargain) from Winstanleys
Obviously with it being such an old model there is an issue with getting a test ride on different frame sizes as availability is limited. Also I know the important thing is to try the bike as well, however as a rough guide could anyone tell me what sort of frame size I should be looking at (it would be either the Small or Medium) I am 169 cms (which I think is 5'6 and a half) of relatively normal proportions
Thanks for any advice

ring them and make *absolutely* sure the have it in stock and say you are worried about delivery times and how the bike is treated during delivery.

I have an 06 marin alpine trail, its a small and I think I'm about 5'7" maybe? Average build and i really like the size on me as i can move it around under me. (i'm used to bmx and dirt jump bikes too)
I think you'd be alright on a small0 -
Thanks for the heads up on that one. I only ever intended to go there and collects as I am based in the North West. And certainly would have only paid on collection. AS it happens I just this minute had an Email stating that it was out of stock and would no longer be available anyway !0

At ur height u would need the 15" frame, marin full springers tend to come up a little bigger than alot of the competition.
I'm 6'1" and i brought a 19" frame which was ok but if i had the luxury of hindsight i would have got the 17.5" simply because the top tube was very long and on longer rides i sometimes got alot've lower back pain.
They're great bikes and if u do decide to buy it im sure ur gonna have a ball riding it0
