REALLY dangerous roundabout

the roundabout at the junction of South Ealing Road and the A4 in W5 is ludicrous. When the lights are gree you still have to watch for traffic from the right as if the lights were not green...the timing as all wrong. The real danger is motorists unfamiliar with the area not realising this and rear ending cyclists who don't charge ahead on green. I've let TFL have my thoughts...if a few more West London commuters did too there may be some action
it never gets any easier...I'm supposed to just get faster...still waiting though

I went over this roundabout in the rain on Friday, for the first time. You are right - it is a shocker! Was heading from Kew towards Ealing, and you pass through the traffic lights onto the roundabout (which has no stop line after the lights) to find a steady stream of traffic coming from the right. Road was greasy as hell and the rain made visibility poor to say the least. It was most disconcerting!

Coming back in the opposite direction was also a bit sticky, with no lane markings contributing to everyone's confusion. Not one that I would like to cross every day - it is an accident waiting to happen.

I live in Ealing. Its quite easy to avoid this badly design junction if you are heading towards Richmond/Kew:

Turn left off South Ealing Road onto Occupation Lane (just after the cemetary) down to the A4, straight over at the lights, over the railway bridge then left on Green Dragon Lane. This is the route I use to get to Richmond Park, it is actually shorter and faster then taking South Ealing Road all the way.

If I am heading towards Brentford/Isleworth I usually cross the A4 at the next junction to the west (Windmill Road)
