Respraying/Anodising/Stripping Alu frame?

Hello all,
I have one of these:

and as you can see, it isn't the prettiest colour!!!! I wanted to re-finish at least the front-end, but I am not sure how easy it will be to do, or what the best option is.
Do I get a paint job, or can someone simply strip the current finish off and leave it as bare aluminium?
Any ideas gratefully received!
