knocked off bike

Got knocked off my bike on Thursday - Side swiped by by a car - and broke my thumb. Now i cannot hold on to my handlebars...boo hoo.. :cry:

  • No, the guy was really nice, took me to the hospital wtih my bike and waited with me all the time i was there, and has contacted me since to ask if i am OK. Think he was more in shock than me.

    how is the bike? :lol: Seriously though, was it his fault or yours.If it's his fault you should be able to claim for any damage to your bike and personal injuries.Pleased to hear your still in one piece. :)
  • The only damage to the bike is the handlebar tape is slighly ripped. The bike slid from underneath me so my body prtected it. Lucky (sort of).

    I could go down the route of trying to get compensation for the injury, but these things happen, it was an accident plain and simple. So i will live with it. I dont like this culture we live in, where everyone is out to get all they can. I'm going for a pint with the guy, that's good enough for me.
