I've only ever posted a couple of pics of this bike and they weren't that good, so i have made a folder on pinkbike for those who are interested, i said i would report back after owning it for a while which is the main reason for this post.
I have to say that this bike is 100% spot on, i love it, deffo one of my better buys, Only things to come really are some pedals and saddle which i will purchase soon, (once i've made my mind up on what to get),
Anyway way pics are here My Chris Boardman enjoy.

they look quite cool actually, and the suits are a far better look than lycra0

Note that even then there was the ongoing debate between 26" and 29"(ish) wheels!0

Nice looking ride Paul. Tell me, How do you find the x-9 rear mech? I only ask as I've got one on my new Commencal and wondered how it was compared to my usual xt.0

TBH I have just come back to cycling after mare than 20 years away, don't even think SRAM were around then, so TBH can't compare, the gear change is good though, smooth and silent, they were not set properly when i got it so i did it myself and touch wood seem fine. I have read somewhere on the net that they are exactly the same as the SRAM X-0 apart from the X-0 has the carbon cage, dunno if it's true or not, either way i'm a happy chappie.0 -

Looks really good, I was impressed with those bikes when there was a leaflet about them in either MBUK or MBR a couple of months ago.
SRAM X-9 is as good as you'll need in my experience, I've got an X-9 rear mech with XTR front mech and X-7 shifters and they all work flawlessly for me so far.
I think the XC purists and weight watchers will tell you that there is a fair difference between X-9 and X-0 but X-9 is a very solid mech and X-0 costs the earth.
Enjoy the bike and welcome back to biking.
Now watch your bank balance dwindle like the rest of usDave S0 -
