Motorola V3 has gone quiet on me - help needed

Hi,
I have a motorola V3 blue. It has suddenly become quiet when I answer it. I can hardly hear the person on the other end. They can hear me perfectly. Is this a known fault? It was bought about 13 months ago so is out of warranty...

How much to fix? Would a new phone be a better bet?

Cheers

  • This is indeed a known fault with Moto's. I had the same problem with one a while back and got some advice from Motorola .......soak it in hot soapy water for 20 minutes. That should sort it.

  • What do you think? :D

For the record, I hate Motorolas. They've never given me anything but trouble. That small fact may have prompted my response. That, and the fact I'm a 5 year old in a 27 year old's body.
  • I've got 2x V3's - for the wife and me. Both of them are playing up. Got one rebooting every 5 minutes and shows the "Insert SIM" message every hour, oh and it loses an hour a day on the clock. The other dumps a brand spanking new battery every 2 hours.

I have reverted back to my ancient Nokia 3510i which works perfectly.

ive had 3 motorola's and they were all cr*p. never have another, prefer nokia's and lg's had a few of both and nothing to complain about
