What size mtb spd shoes?

I've found some spd shoes on www.chainreactioncycles.com and was wondering what size I'd need.All the sizes seem to be european. Im interested in either a size 7 or 8. I know i should try them first really but I know the owner of my local store and would feel a bit "snide" trying the shoes on and buying them online (there half price)

I'm a UK size 8 which equates to a european size 42. If you're unsure just search Google for a size chart0

local shop may even do price match if you ask them
is a bit of a gab=mble buyin shoes without trying them first as they vary in sizes from brand to brand...0 -
I'm a size 7. I went for the standard equivelant in euro size and they were to small. Definately try them on if you can, before buying.Come back with your bike or upon it.0
