    Also amazing that the womens road race doesn't appear to be on French TV on Saturday, except as edited highlights in a graveyard slot at 1 a.m. on French Eurosport, – I'm off to Paris tomorrow – their Saturday afternoon coverage is thus:

    I keep seeing Emma Pooley getting good results. Good news for British Cycling!
    But I don't know anything else about her.
    Anyway, looks like GB was competitive even without Miss Cooke.
