to refurbish or replace?

This is a general question .
Say you have bought a current year ful suss frame and it has treated you with no problems or any issues besides a occasional leaky fork after 7 months and now the next year bikesare comming out woud you:

Refurbish the frame with up to date components so it' last you another year

sell your current ride and buy next years model

Which would you do if you have 1000 pounds to spend?

Didn't the GT I-Drive win an award for the best under 1000 full suss? I believe it has superior components than even most over 1000 full susses (XT Groupset , etc)?

no XT groupe set! just a rear XT mech god knows what the rest is. and it is a Halfords only model which generally is a year behind normal GT model frames.

As said earlier, just replace parts as needed. 'New' parts arent always better, and you may see very little improvement making wholesale upgrades.
