Hi,
This is probably a really stupid question but I'm going to ask anyway, I was browsing ebay (as usual, i'm addicted) and I spotted this shock with what appears to be a trunnion mount, does anyone know if this could be bodged onto my LTS. It doesn't need replacing at the mo but I expect it will at some point and this would seem an ideal replacement if its possible.
I don't expect it would work but thought someone might have tried.

Ive seen a few RS shocks for LTS come up recently on ebay.0

yeah, i've seen those but they're all coupe deluxe's and have a shorter stroke than the super deluxe on mine (only by 0.25 of an inch though). Really it was just a matter of curiosity although I was hoping to find something which maybe had a slightly longer stroke.
Do you know how much travel my LTS is actually meant to have? I think its 5.5 but not sure.
Oh, you'll be happy to hear that the LTS is all shiny again (but scratched to bits still) and new decals on their way from the states. Pics will be posted when she's done.0 -
The travel varied over the years, but I do believe yours was 5.50
