Where do you store it?

Just looking at my bike all snug and safe in the office and I started to wonder where other commuters can/do to keep their bikes whilst at work

We're lucky here - bike rack parking in our underground garage with gated access and keyfob entry. Perhaps I need a more expensive bike after all

At work, it lives in the office. At home it hangs on my bedroom wall, next to my other two...

Outside but underneath an overhang.

I lock more securely than most of the bikes around, and keep it suitably messy to deter theft.

Underground carpark. Security swipe access for cars. Anyone can walk in there from the lobby though.

But my commuter is ugly, and locked with a D. There's much nicer bikes locked up with dodgier security.

At work it's in a bike rack in a secured access-controlled underground garage.

At home it's left underneath an awning along the rear side of my house.

I normally don't lock it at either! :shock:

To be fair, at home there's nothing solid to lock it to, apart from the outside piping. I'd rather not lock it to that as it'd probably cost more to replace than the bike, and just locking the bike wheels wouldn't hinder any thieves much as they'd have to schlep the bike over a large number of garden fences anyway, locked or not.

At work my commute bike is d-locked to a railing in a secure carpark next to the main entrance. At home it lives in the front bedroom with it's 3 big brother MTB's

The commuter....Outside with a gold standard D lock and a rain cover, new job from next week so again most likely outside again, but same D-lock and a gold standard mega chain (Uni. campus) - as they are bike friendly, will see if it can come inside.

The 2x others are in the garage, located next to a little tube heater to keep then warm....

There not much space in our office, its an old Georgian building; I leave it in the lift room from the carpark.

I'm lucky to have a new covered bike rack to put my bike in, there are a good few of them on the site. I normally get in quite early so I get my choice of space, but by 9am all the bike racks are nearly full.

I lock my bike, I can't afford to lose my bike due to being a poor placement student (though considerably better off than most spending their 3rd year in university - I do research and get paid - though I'll be back to uni next year to finish off my degree). About 50% don't lock their bikes and they are still there everyday at 5pm. I suppose it's due to the fact that we are on an isolated campus in the countryside far enough away from any large residential or town area.

at home i leave mine in the hallway, but when the baby is here that must change due to the pram

at work i leave it round the back, on a customised a-frame/trolly hidden by huge drums and cartons, work is secured at back (ish) but i do lock it to buggery even at work

Outside, attached with "8/10" lock to a dedicated cycle parking thing, many thanks Camden council, or at a major London station on their totally inadequate number of racks

At home I keep it in my living room - it's supposed to be in the shed but as I am riding to work it's a lot easier if I just leave it in the house as I don't need to lock it.

At work we have bike racks in an underground secure car park - I still lock it of course. :-)
